About Me

IMG_9876.jpeg

I am an artist based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a primary focus on drawing. My creative practice spans digital and film photography, AI films, design, crafts, miniatures, painting, and murals, allowing me to explore diverse forms of visual expression.

Over the past two summers, I studied drawing at Charles H. Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy, where I deepened my understanding of classical techniques. I will return next year to continue my work in portraiture, with the goal of advancing into portrait oil painting.

Why Florence

& Sight Size Method for Portrait

Sight Size Method for Portraits:

A portrait drawn at life size is never static or mechanical. While the Sight Size method provides accuracy, it also offers the freedom to observe, interpret, and infuse personality into the work.

Standing before the model, I can capture subtle shifts in expression, adjust angles, and modify light and shadow, all while maintaining true proportions. This process transforms the work from a photographic likeness into a portrait with feeling.

For me, Sight Size portraiture is “a unique means of attaining truth to nature through individual expression.” It unites precision with emotion, allowing the portrait to breathe with life.
