Design concept:
I created this AI film because I wanted to bring this piece to life. The purpose of artworks like the White Lotus Society scroll are to tell stories. During ancient times, there were no tools to give the characters and places true movement, so the closest they could come to was a fluid-flowing series of images within a scroll. By animating these components, the White Lotus Society Map can come closer to what was truly intended by the artist; a story that brings meaning and evokes emotion with its contents and life-like images.
Design basis:
This AI film is based directly on the artwork White Lotus Society scroll. The scroll is split into eight parts, each containing a component of the story that is being presented. In my AI film, each scene has been cut and placed into its own separate animation, to reinforce the feeling of a story.
Characteristics of the work :
This AI film keeps the style of the original work, while including more visual interest which in turn helps the flow of the story.
Description of the Technical Approach
I began with the original work which I cropped to break down into the sections that I planned to animate as separate parts. Once the artwork was broken down to my liking, I transferred each image to KLING AI, a website designed to create images and videos. There, I gave prompts to turn the pictures to short animated videos, reviewing each one for fixable mistakes or anomalies. Then I moved the videos to CapCut, a website for editing videos where each clip was then put together into its original order. The music featured in the film was created by Suno AI.

Design concept:
I created this AI film because I wanted to bring a feeling of ‘home’ to life. This theme is deeply personal to me, since as a boarding student, I felt the quiet dread of leaving home behind. Over time, I also began to find pieces of home in new places: in people, classes, routines, and time spent with friends. This project is a reflection of that journey, of missing and slowly rebuilding a sense of home where I didn’t think I’d find it.
Design basis:
This AI film is based on the theme of home, drawn from my personal experiences as a boarding student. The narrative is built around moments of transition and how these moments shape one’s sense of place. Each scene in the film represents a different stage of this process, using AI-generated imagery to explore the emotional landscape of being away from home, and the slow and uncertain process of finding a sense of belonging.

This AI film uses animation and mood-driven visuals to explore the complex feelings of leaving and finding home. Each scene captures a different emotional moment, creating a quiet, reflective flow.
Description of the Technical Approach:
I started by breaking down the original images into sections that I planned to animate separately. Using Stable Diffusion and Runway ML, I generated and enhanced animations based on these segments. After refining each animation, I imported the clips into CapCut to edit and assemble them in the intended sequence. I used Suno AI to create the music. The final edit brings together the visuals and pacing to reflect the emotional journey of the film.
